Don't attack someone because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, religion, faith, or similar parts of their identity.

Aside from being harmful, it's also just lazy.

If you're going to give someone shit, at least give them shit for something they actually said, did, or believe. Their terrible trade offer is fair game. Their outdated worldview is fair game. Who they are isn't.

You can disagree with religions, beliefs, politics, opinions, or ideas. You cannot use that disagreement as an excuse to harass or demean the people who hold them.

Arguments happen. One disagreement isn't harassment.

Repeatedly targeting someone, following them around to bother them, continuing to contact them after they've made it clear they want you to stop, evading blocks, or organizing other people to pile onto them is not okay.

If someone blocks you, that's the end of the interaction. Move on.

Don't threaten real-world violence, encourage someone to hurt themselves or someone else, share someone's private information, or try to scare somebody with information about their real life.

RuneSpace drama stays in RuneSpace.

Sexual harassment, unwanted sexual comments directed at another player, exploitative sexual content, or sexual content involving minors is not allowed.

Don't impersonate other players or staff, run phishing scams, deliberately misrepresent trades, flood chat, or use chat primarily to annoy everyone else.

Trade chat is there for buying, selling, price checks, and other marketplace stuff. General chat is for everything else.

RuneSpace does not need a swear jar.

Profanity by itself isn't a violation. Context matters. Saying “this fucking drop rate hates me” is very different from directing hateful or threatening abuse at another person.

Some particularly severe slurs may simply be blocked from being sent.

If you don't want to interact with someone, block them.

If someone is breaking these rules, report the message or player. You can report without blocking, or do both.

Blocks, reports, chat messages, and related safety information may be retained and reviewed to keep RuneSpace safe. Direct messages aren't public to other players, but they may still be reviewed when necessary for moderation or safety. Safety & Privacy explains exactly what's kept and for how long.

Don't abuse the report system, organize false reports, or try to manipulate moderation against somebody you dislike.

RuneSpace may use patterns such as reports and blocks to help identify things worth reviewing, but those signals aren't automatic proof that someone did something wrong.

It depends on what happened.

Sometimes a warning makes sense. Sometimes it doesn't.

RuneSpace may temporarily or permanently restrict someone's ability to chat, DM, advertise, or initiate trades. More serious behavior—such as credible threats, doxxing, serious scams, repeated harassment, or attempts to evade moderation—can result in temporary or permanent account suspension.

You do not necessarily get a warning first for serious behavior.

The goal isn't to punish people for having a bad day. The goal is to stop people from making RuneSpace unsafe or miserable for everyone else.

If it happens to you, you'll get a notice that says which rule, what's affected, for how long, and a case reference — and you can appeal it. Safety & Privacy covers how appeals work.

Argue about ideas. Roast bad decisions. Complain about prices. Swear at the RNG.

Don't attack people for who they are, don't harass them, don't threaten them, and don't be creepy.
